With a shared passion for helping the XPR network grow and thrive, we are seeking support to cover the expenses for attending as well as preparing and running a technical workshop at the Social Developers Conference in Hamburg organized by the Social Developers Club.

By actively participating in conferences like this, we want to raise awareness of the XPR Network and attract more users and developers to our community.

Objectives:

• Provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the core features of the XPR Network and products

• Introducing key concepts and provide hands-on experience in contract development

• Attract new developers with a reward task

Note: This is our second attempt with the proposal where we updated the requested budget. We are willing to cover the workshop preparation costs on our behalf and only ask for compensation to execute the workshop and to cover costs for travel + accommodation.

Who We Are

This proposal is provided by kryptokrauts, the team behind Soon.Market that is currently developing a new NFT marketplace experience on XPR Network. We recently published our brand new landing page to advertise the relaunch in Q1 2024.

We have been active in the XPR community since 2021 and actively contributed to community initiatives like NFT Watch DAO which will be seamlessly integrated into our upcoming market.

The proposed technical workshop will be prepared and executed by Mitch and Marco.

Workshop Agenda

Introduction to XPR Network

• DeFi Products (WebAuth Wallet, MetalX)

• Compliance and KYC

• Voting for Block Producers

• Staking and Long Staking

Hands-On-Part

• Providing an introduction to key concepts like storage, notifications, inline actions and execution order

• Exemplary presentation of smart contract development with TypeScript

• Introduction to development tools for creating, testing, and deploying on XPR Network Testnet based on a sample contract

• Practical testing with Vert

Reward Task

To keep the developers engaged, a task can be solved up to 30 days after the workshop that gives each workshop participant access to a reward. Therefore, we will provide a smart contract backed by a reward pool and provide participants with a solution template that requires them to apply the knowledge of the core principles acquired during the workshop in order to receive their share of the reward.

• We will ensure a fair distribution of the rewards among the registered accounts of the workshop participants

• All unclaimed rewards within the reward contract can be claimed back to xprgrants after 30 days, example:

  • 10 participants sign up for the reward task

  • only 2 participants finish the reward task and get ~100€ each (in XPR)

  • ~800€ (in XPR) will be returned to xprgrants account

• We will make the details of the task and the solution template available as GitHub project before the start of the workshop

Requested Budget

In order to be able to attend and carry out the workshop at the Social Developers Conference, we ask for a total budget of 4400 €, which is made up as follows:

• *Event Logo Placement: 200 €

• *Social Media Package: 700 €

• *Workshop Slot: 1500 €

• Reward Pool for Developer Task: 1000 €

• 2x Workshop Execution (90min each): 300 €

• 2x Travel (Train) + Accommodation (Hotel): 700€

Additional Considerations

As we need to minimize the exchange rate risks in order to be able to pay the designated workshop and conference packages, the requested amount is denoted in EUR. The amount needs to be calculated in XPR based on the XPR/EUR rate at the time of grant payout.
