This is the first on-chain governance vote for SimpleDEX, and a step toward community-driven decision making. Previously, protocol changes were decided by the team or through X/Twitter polls. Moving to on-chain voting means decisions are transparent, verifiable, and open to all XPR holders — not just those who see a tweet.
Background
The token creation fee on SimpleLaunch determines the cost to deploy a new token on the bonding curve. The fee is paid in XPR to the protocol treasury.
The current fee is 40,000 XPR, which was set based on an X poll in March (199 votes, 6,500 views). Since then, XPR's price has changed and community feedback has varied — some feel the fee is too high and discourages new launches, while others believe a higher fee filters out low-effort tokens.
A healthy launchpad needs a steady flow of new tokens. The fee should balance accessibility with quality.
